The Riverside Academy Rebels (Reserve, LA) softball nipped the visiting Ascension Catholic Bulldogs (Donaldsonville, LA), 6-5 in Saturday's non-league outing.

The Rebels now sport a 12-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to West St. John for a 1A District 10 outing on Tuesday, March 25. Riverside Academy will encounter a Rams team coming off a 18-1 league loss to St. Martin's Episcopal (Metairie, LA). The Rams record now stands at 3-4.

With the loss, Ascension Catholic moves to 14-4 on the season. The Bulldogs host St. John (Plaquemine, LA) to encounter the Eagles in a 1A District 8 outing on Tuesday, March 25. The Eagles come into the outing with a record of 15-2. St. John won 9-1 in their recent league outing against Ascension Christian (Gonzales, LA)
