Next, the Mustangs play the North Vermilion Patriots (Maurice, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, March 22. Assumption will attempt to upgrade on its 16-2 season record. The Patriots enter the challenge with a 6-8 record after their 9-7 league loss to Teurlings Catholic (Lafayette, LA).
The (9-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Mt. Carmel (New Orleans, LA). The Cubs enter the 5A District 9 challenge with a 12-4 record. In their last challenge, Mt. Carmel was routed by Lutcher (Lutcher, LA), 9-8, in a non-league challenge.
