The Glen Burnie Gophers edged the visiting Atholton Raiders softball squad by a count of 8-7 in Saturday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Gophers meet the Broadneck Bruins (Annapolis, MD) in a Anne Arundel County challenge, on Monday, March 24. Glen Burnie will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Bruins enter the challenge with a 2-2 record after their 4-3 non-league win over Easton (Easton, MD).
The Raiders (1-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Howard (Ellicott City, MD). The Lions enter the Howard County challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, Howard edged Centennial (Ellicott City, MD), 11-1, in a league challenge.
