California High School Softball - Exeter can't get by Mariposa County

The Mariposa County Grizzlies edged the host Exeter Monarchs softball squad by a count of 2-1 in Saturday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Grizzlies meet the Avenal Buccaneers (Avenal, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, March 22. Mariposa County will attempt to upgrade on its 5-5 season record. The Buccaneers enter the challenge with a 6-0 record after their 13-0 non-league win over Wonderful College Prep Academy (Delano, CA).

The Monarchs (3-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Roosevelt (Fresno, CA). The Rough Riders enter the non-league challenge with a 4-4 record. In their last challenge, Roosevelt was nudged by Tulare Union (Tulare, CA), 18-1, in a non-league challenge.
