The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Ponchatoula Green Wave (Ponchatoula, LA) and the visiting Haynes Academy (Metairie, LA), observed Ponchatoula's softball team get by Haynes Academy by a tally of 12-6.

The Green Wave (12-9) will now prepare for their bout against Archbishop Chapelle (Metairie, LA). The Chipmunks go into the non-league bout with a 8-6 record. In their last bout, Archbishop Chapelle was routed by Archbishop Hannan (Covington, LA), 7-1, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the clash with the Patrick Taylor Science & Tech Academy Tigers (Westwego, LA) in a 3A District 9 bout, on Tuesday, March 25. Haynes Academy will attempt to advance on its 3-3 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 9-5 record after their 5-0 non-league loss to Vandebilt Catholic (Houma, LA).
