The South Gibson Hornets overwhelmed the visiting McNairy Central Bobcats softball squad by a count of 13-1 in Saturday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Hornets meet the Dyersburg Trojans (Dyersburg, TN) in a 3A District 13 challenge, on Monday, March 24. South Gibson will attempt to upgrade on its 4-2 season record. The Trojans go into the challenge with a 3-0 record after their 13-3 non-league win over Jackson Christian (Jackson, TN).
The Bobcats (6-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Stewarts Creek (Smyrna, TN). The Red Hawks go into the non-league challenge with a 2-1 record. In their last challenge, Stewarts Creek toppled LaVergne (LaVergne, TN), 13-0, in a league challenge.
