In Saturday's non-league match, the visiting Quitman Wolverines softball team scored a tight 3-0 victory over the Southside Sharks.
The Wolverines (14-2) will now prepare for their match against LaSalle (Olla, LA). The Tigers go into the non-league match with a 17-4 record. In their last match, LaSalle tipped Monterey (Monterey, LA), 16-1, in a non-league match.
In their next game, the Sharks battle the Haughton Buccaneers (Haughton, LA) in a non-league match, on Saturday, March 22. Southside will attempt to better on its 11-7 season record. The Buccaneers go into the match with a 9-11 record after their 11-3 non-league loss to Iowa (Iowa, LA).
