In Saturday's non-league match, the host Vicksburg Gators softball team scored a tight 14-12 win over the Yazoo City Indians.
The Gators (2-10) will now prepare for their match against Brookhaven (Brookhaven, MS). The Panthers come into the non-league match with a 9-5 record. In their last match, Brookhaven nipped Columbia (Columbia, MS), 13-5, in a non-league match.
In their next game, the Indians confront the Riverside Bulldogs (Avon, MS) in a non-league match, on Saturday, March 22. Yazoo City will attempt to better on its 3-10 season record. The Bulldogs come into the match with a 8-3 record after their 19-2 league win over O'Bannon (Greenville, MS).
