Valley View Blazers (Jonesboro, AR) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the visiting Normal West Wildcats (Normal, IL), 6-5 in a non-league test.

With the win, Valley View upgrades its record to 1-1 on the season. The Blazers travel to Southside (Batesville, AR) to battle the Southerners in a 4A Region 3 test on Wednesday, March 30. The Southerners come into the test with a record of 2-4.

With the defeat, Normal West falls to 2-4 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Spanish Fort (Spanish Fort, AL) to battle the Toros in a non-league test on Wednesday, March 23. The Toros come into the test with a record of 15-6. Spanish Fort won 12-1 in their recent non-league test against Manila (Manila, AR)
