Carterville Lions (Carterville, IL) fans were thrilled Wednesday as they observed their soccer team knock off the host Sikeston Bulldogs (Sikeston, MO), 3-1 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Lions face the Anna-Jonesboro/Cobden Wildcats (Anna, IL) in a Southern Illinois River-to-River - Mississippi challenge, on Tuesday, March 29. Carterville will attempt to better on its 2-0 season record.

The Bulldogs now have a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Kearney for a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 24.
