Atascocita Eagles (Humble, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Paetow Panthers (Katy, TX), 10-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Eagles now own a 12-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to North Shore for a 6A Region III District 21 challenge on Friday, March 25. Atascocita will battle a Mustangs squad coming off a 14-1 league loss to Summer Creek (Houston, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 6-2.

With the loss, Paetow falls to 14-8 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Jordan (Fulshear, TX) to battle the Warriors in a 5A Region III District 19 challenge on Friday, March 25. The Warriors enter the challenge with a record of 6-11. Jordan won 6-3 in their recent league challenge against Rudder (Bryan, TX)
