Spectators at Wednesday's non-league match between the Doyle Tigers (Livingston, LA) and the visiting Brusly Panthers (Brusly, LA), witnessed Doyle's softball squad tip Brusly by a count of 3-0.

The Tigers now sport a 5-3 record. They play next when they travel to Springfield for a 2A District 9 match on Thursday, March 24.

With the loss, Brusly moves to 8-2 on the season. The Panthers host Kaplan (Kaplan, LA) to face the Pirates in a 3A District 6 match on Friday, March 25. The Pirates go into the match with a record of 5-1. Kaplan won 18-3 in their recent non-league match against Thibodaux (Thibodaux, LA)
