In Wednesday's non-league contest, the Lake Washington Kangaroos (Kirkland, WA) softball team overwhelmed the host Gig Harbor Tides (Gig Harbor, WA), by a margin of 9-4.
With the triumph, Lake Washington moves its record to 1-1 on the year. The Kangaroos host Liberty (Issaquah, WA) to play the Patriots in a 3A KingCo contest on Monday, March 28. The Patriots come into the contest with a record of 1-2.
In their next game, the Tides play the North Thurston Rams (Lacey, WA) in a 3A South Sound contest, on Thursday, March 24. Gig Harbor will attempt to move on its 2-2 season record. The Rams come into the contest with a 0-3 record after their 17-6 league loss to Kelso (Kelso, WA).
