In Wednesday's non-league outing, the visiting Hillside Hornets softball team scored a close 16-9 win over the Southeast Raleigh Bulldogs.
Coming up next, the Hornets encounter the Northern Durham Knights (Durham, NC) in a DAC-VII 4A outing, on Thursday, March 24. Hillside will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record. The Knights enter the outing with a 4-5 record after their 14-0 league win over Chapel Hill (Chapel Hill, NC).
The Bulldogs (1-7) will now prepare for their outing against Willow Spring (Fuquay-Varina, NC). The Storm enter the Greater Neuse River 4A outing with a 6-4 record. In their last outing, Willow Spring was routed by Fuquay - Varina (Fuquay-Varina, NC), 7-3, in a league outing.
