Nevada High School Softball - Sparks holds off Virginia City

The Sparks Railroaders (Sparks, NV) softball the visiting Virginia City Muckers (Virginia City, NV), 17-15 in Wednesday's non-league bout.

The Railroaders (2-5) will now prepare for their bout against Elko (Elko, NV). The Indians go into the 3A North - East bout with a 3-5 record. In their last bout, Elko held off South Tahoe (South Lake Tahoe, CA), 19-2, in a league bout.

The Muckers now possess a 3-6 record. They play next when they travel to Oasis Academy for a 1A Northern bout on Saturday, March 26. Virginia City will confront a Bighorns squad coming off a 25-6 league win over Coleville (Coleville, CA). The Bighorns record now stands at 5-1.
