Carlsbad Cavemen (Carlsbad, NM) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Rio Rancho Rams (Rio Rancho, NM), 6-2 in a non-league challenge.
The Cavemen now own a 7-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Kirtland Central for a non-league challenge on Friday, March 24.
With the loss, Rio Rancho falls to 6-6 on the campaign. The Rams host Bernalillo (Bernalillo, NM) to face the Spartans in a non-league challenge on Friday, March 24. The Spartans enter the challenge with a record of 4-4. Bernalillo won 4-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Tularosa (Tularosa, NM)
