Cloudland Highlanders (Roan Mountain, TN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Happy Valley Warriors (Elizabethton, TN), 16-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Highlanders now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hampton for a 1A District 1 challenge on Friday, March 24. Cloudland will battle a Bulldogs squad coming off a 11-0 league loss to North Greene (Greeneville, TN). The Bulldogs record now stands at 0-2.

With the loss, Happy Valley falls to 0-3 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Unaka (Elizabethton, TN) to battle the Rangers in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 28. The Rangers enter the challenge with a record of 1-5.
