Spectators at Thursday's non-league match between the Rogers Pirates (Florence, AL) and the visiting Loretto Mustangs (Loretto, TN), witnessed Rogers's softball squad tip Loretto by a count of 3-2.

The Pirates now sport a 5-6 record. They play next when they travel to Gibson Southern for a non-league match on Friday, March 24. Rogers will face a Titans squad coming off a 13-1 non-league win over Middle Tennessee Christian (Murfreesboro, TN). The Titans record now stands at 2-0.

With the loss, Loretto moves to 2-5 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Mt. Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, TN) to face the Tigers in a 2A District 10 match on Friday, March 24. The Tigers go into the match with a record of 0-1. Mt. Pleasant lost 9-1 in their recent non-league match against Zion Christian Academy (Columbia, TN)
