Mooresville Blue Devils (Mooresville, NC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Piedmont Panthers (Monroe, NC), 4-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Blue Devils now sport a 6-2 record. They take the field next when they host A.L. Brown for a Greater Metro 4A game on Friday, March 24. Mooresville will clash with a Wonders team coming off a 8-3 league loss to South Iredell (Statesville, NC). The Wonders record now stands at 1-8.

In their next game, the Panthers clash with the Weddington Warriors (Matthews, NC) in a Southern Carolina 4A game, on Friday, March 24. Piedmont will attempt to improve on its 6-4 season record. The Warriors come into the game with a 5-4 record after their 10-3 non-league win over Myers Park (Charlotte, NC).
