The Maine East Blue Demons volleyball team scored 2 points and limited the visiting Taft Eagles to 1 in the Blue Demons non-league victory on Saturday.
The Blue Demons now have a 6-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lane Tech for a non-league game on Wednesday, March 27. Maine East will meet a Champions team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Edwardsville (Edwardsville, IL). The Champions record now stands at 4-3.
The Eagles (0-5) will now prepare for their game against St. Francis (Wheaton, IL). The Spartans enter the non-league game with a 0-1 record. In their last game, St. Francis was nudged by Wheaton North (Wheaton, IL), 2-1, in a non-league game.
