In Saturday's non-league battle, the visiting Monticello Sages soccer squad scored a close 4-0 triumph over the Richland County Tigers.
The Sages (7-0) will now prepare for their battle against Mt. Zion (Mt. Zion, IL). The Braves come into the non-league battle with a 4-2 record. In their last battle, Mt. Zion nudged St. Teresa (Decatur, IL), 9-0, in a non-league bout.
In their next game, the Tigers battle the Charleston Trojans (Charleston, IL) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, March 26. Richland County will attempt to move on its 1-1 season record. The Trojans enter the bout with a 2-3 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Centralia (Centralia, IL).
