Spectators at Saturday's non-league match between the Ouachita Parish Lions (Monroe, LA) and the host Downsville Demons (Downsville, LA), witnessed Ouachita Parish's softball squad prevail over Downsville by a count of 17-2.

The Lions now sport a 11-15 record. They play next when they host Alexandria for a 5A District 2 match on Tuesday, March 26. Ouachita Parish will face a Trojans squad coming off a 13-7 non-league loss to North DeSoto (Stonewall, LA). The Trojans record now stands at 13-13.

With the loss, Downsville moves to 9-15 on the season. The Demons travel to Caddo Magnet (Shreveport, LA) to face the Mustangs in a non-league match on Monday, March 25. The Mustangs go into the match with a record of 8-7.
