The Haughton Buccaneers softball team scored 16 runs and limited the visiting Ouachita Parish Lions to 14 in the Buccaneers non-league triumph on Saturday.

With the triumph, Haughton moves its record to 13-12 on the year. The Buccaneers host Caldwell Parish (Columbia, LA) to play the Spartans in a non-league game on Saturday, March 23. The Spartans come into the game with a record of 14-8. Caldwell Parish won 16-1 in their recent non-league game against Hicks (Leesville, LA)

In their next game, the Lions play the Downsville Demons (Downsville, LA) in a non-league game, on Saturday, March 23. Ouachita Parish will attempt to move on its 10-15 season record. The Demons come into the game with a 9-13 record after their 15-0 non-league loss to D'Arbonne Woods (Farmerville, LA).
