The Lake Hornets softball team scored 8 runs and limited the host Union Yellowjackets to 1 in the Hornets non-league triumph on Saturday.

With the triumph, Lake moves its record to 10-5 on the year. The Hornets host Clarkdale (Meridian, MS) to play the Bulldogs in a 2A Region 5 game on Saturday, March 23. The Bulldogs come into the game with a record of 8-6. Clarkdale won 8-4 in their recent non-league game against Union (Union, MS)

In their next game, the Yellowjackets play the Eupora Eagles (Eupora, MS) in a 2A Region 4 game, on Tuesday, March 26. Union will attempt to move on its 5-7 season record. The Eagles come into the game with a 17-4 record after their 14-3 league win over Philadelphia (Philadelphia, MS).
