The Springfield Senators softball team scored 15 runs and limited the visiting Morton Potters to 5 in the Senators non-league triumph on Saturday.

With the triumph, Springfield moves its record to 4-0 on the year. The Senators host Lanphier (Springfield, IL) to clash with the Lions in a Central State Eight game on Wednesday, March 27. The Lions come into the game with a record of 1-1. Lanphier lost 20-1 in their recent non-league game against PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central (Petersburg, IL)

In their next game, the Potters clash with the Lincoln Railsplitters (Lincoln, IL) in a non-league game, on Monday, March 25. Morton will attempt to move on its 1-3 season record.
