In Saturday's non-league contest, the Sehome Mariners (Bellingham, WA) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Orcas Island Vikings (Eastsound, WA), by a margin of 17-2.
With the triumph, Sehome moves its record to 2-1 on the year. The Mariners travel to Oak Harbor (Oak Harbor, WA) to play the Wildcats in a 1A/2A/3A Northwest contest on Tuesday, April 9. The Wildcats come into the contest with a record of 1-1.
In their next game, the Vikings play the Anacortes Seahawks (Anacortes, WA) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, March 23. Orcas Island will attempt to move on its 0-7 season record. The Seahawks come into the contest with a 1-0 record after their 10-9 non-league win over Granite Falls (Granite Falls, WA).
