Berwick Panthers (Berwick, LA) backers left the game pleased Monday as they saw their softball squad thwart the visiting Assumption Mustangs (Napoleonville, LA), 14-4 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Berwick upgrades its record to 16-5 on the year. The Panthers travel to Hahnville (Boutte, LA) to play the Tigers in a non-league game on Thursday, March 26. The Tigers enter the game with a record of 14-9. Hahnville won 12-2 in their recent league game against Central Lafourche (Raceland, LA)

The Mustangs now own a 8-18 record. They play next when they host E.D. White for a 4A District 8 game on Tuesday, March 24. Assumption will play a Cardinals team coming off a 17-1 non-league win over Patrick Taylor Science & Tech Academy (Westwego, LA). The Cardinals record now stands at 15-3.
