The Marist Spartans baseball team scored 4 runs and limited the host Valley Vista Monsoon to 3 in the Spartans non-league victory on Thursday.
The Spartans (2-1) will now prepare for their match against Hidden Valley (Grants Pass, OR). The Mustangs go into the non-league match with a 6-0 record.
The Monsoon (4-7) will now prepare for their match against Tolleson (Tolleson, AZ). The Wolverines go into the 6A Southwest match with a 9-6 record. In their last match, Tolleson was edged by Valley Vista (Surprise, AZ), 10-7, in a league match.
