In Thursday's non-league battle, the host Halifax County Comets soccer squad scored a close 3-2 win over the Park View Dragons.
The Comets (2-0) will now prepare for their battle against Magna Vista (Ridgeway, VA). The Warriors go into the Piedmont battle with a 0-1 record. In their last battle, Magna Vista was nudged by Northside (Roanoke, VA), 3-1, in a non-league battle.
The Dragons (0-1) will now prepare for their battle against Windsor (Windsor, VA). The Dukes go into the Tri-Rivers battle with a 0-1 record.
