Edison Eagles (Alexandria, VA) fans were thrilled Thursday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host West Springfield Spartans (Springfield, VA), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Eagles face the Fairfax Lions (Fairfax, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, March 28. Edison will attempt to better on its 2-3 season record. The Lions enter the challenge with a 0-3 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to George C. Marshall (Falls Church, VA).

The Spartans now have a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Fairfax for a Patriot challenge on Monday, April 11.
