The East Burke Cavaliers softball team (Connelly Springs, NC), was routed 10-0 in Thursday's non-league test with the host Hibriten Panthers (Lenoir, NC)

Coming up next, the Panthers encounter the Ashe County Huskies (West Jefferson, NC) in a Northwestern 3A/4A test, on Friday, March 25. Hibriten will attempt to improve on its 5-2 season record. The Huskies enter the challenge with a 0-6 record after their 18-2 league loss to Alexander Central (Taylorsville, NC).

With the loss, East Burke falls to 2-4 on the campaign. The Cavaliers host West Lincoln (Lincolnton, NC) to battle the Rebels in a Catawba Valley Athletic 2A challenge on Friday, March 25. The Rebels enter the challenge with a record of 5-3. West Lincoln won 2-1 in their recent league challenge against West Caldwell (Lenoir, NC)
