Lexington Tigers (Lexington, TN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Moline Maroons (Moline, IL), 16-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Tigers now own a 9-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Floyd Central for a non-league challenge on Friday, March 25. Lexington will face a Highlanders squad coming off a 9-7 non-league win over White House-Heritage (White House, TN). The Highlanders record now stands at 1-0.

With the loss, Moline falls to 0-4 on the campaign. The Maroons host Sterling (Sterling, IL) to face the Golden Warriors in a Western Big 6 challenge on Tuesday, March 29. The Golden Warriors enter the challenge with a record of 1-0. Sterling won 11-9 in their recent non-league challenge against Freeport (Freeport, IL)
