The La Joya Coyotes baseball team scored 12 runs and limited the host San Benito Greyhounds to 4 in the Coyotes non-league victory on Friday.
The Coyotes (10-11) will now prepare for their match against Edinburg North (Edinburg, TX). The Cougars go into the 6A Region IV District 31 match with a 4-15 record. In their last match, Edinburg North was overwhelmed by Weslaco (Weslaco, TX), 6-5, in a non-league match.
The Greyhounds (12-8) will now prepare for their match against Hanna (Brownsville, TX). The Golden Eagles go into the 6A Region IV District 32 match with a 2-14 record. In their last match, Hanna was overwhelmed by Economedes (Edinburg, TX), 8-2, in a non-league match.
