The Nevada Union Miners softball team (Grass Valley, CA), was routed 8-2 in Friday's non-league bout with the host West Valley Eagles (Cottonwood, CA)

The Eagles (5-1) will now prepare for their bout against Red Bluff (Red Bluff, CA). The Spartans go into the non-league bout with a 4-0 record. In their last bout, Red Bluff held off Colusa (Colusa, CA), 11-0, in a non-league bout.
