Bartram Trail Bears (St. Johns, FL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Atlantic Coast Stingrays (Jacksonville, FL), 17-1 in a league challenge.

The Bears now own a 7-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Palatka for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 28. Bartram Trail will face a Panthers squad coming off a 8-1 non-league win over Fleming Island (Orange Park, FL). The Panthers record now stands at 4-4.

With the loss, Atlantic Coast falls to 1-9 on the campaign. The Stingrays host Mandarin (Jacksonville, FL) to face the Mustangs in a 7A District 1 challenge on Monday, March 27. The Mustangs enter the challenge with a record of 5-6. Mandarin won 2-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Clay (Green Cove Springs, FL)
