The Ripley Tigers (Ripley, TN) softball nipped the host Cordova Blue Devils (Cordova, AL), 3-2 in Friday's non-league bout.

The Tigers (3-3) will now prepare for their bout against Ohatchee (Ohatchee, AL). The Indians go into the non-league bout with a 13-4 record. In their last bout, Ohatchee held off Ashville (Ashville, AL), 12-2, in a non-league bout.

The Blue Devils now possess a 7-11 record. They play next when they host Sumiton Christian for a non-league bout on Tuesday, March 28. Cordova will confront a Eagles squad coming off a 12-0 non-league loss to Fairhope (Fairhope, AL). The Eagles record now stands at 7-7.
