Pacifica Mariners (Garden Grove, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host El Modena Vanguards (Orange, CA), 12-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Mariners now own a 9-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to JSerra Catholic for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 29. Pacifica will face a Lions squad coming off a 7-1 league win over Santa Margarita (Rancho Santa Margarita, CA). The Lions record now stands at 12-2.

With the loss, El Modena falls to 8-4 on the campaign. The Vanguards host Foothill (Santa Ana, CA) to face the Knights in a non-league challenge on Monday, March 27. The Knights enter the challenge with a record of 9-4. Foothill won 2-1 in their recent non-league challenge against San Juan Hills (San Juan Capistrano, CA)
