Warren Central Vikings (Vicksburg, MS) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Olive Branch Conquistadors (Olive Branch, MS), 7-0 in a non-league challenge.
The Vikings now own a 8-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Oxford for a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 25. Warren Central will battle a Chargers squad coming off a 10-0 league win over Starkville (Starkville, MS). The Chargers record now stands at 2-3.
With the loss, Olive Branch falls to 0-8 on the campaign. The Conquistadors travel to DeSoto Central (Southaven, MS) to battle the Jaguars in a 6A Region 2 challenge on Thursday, March 30. The Jaguars enter the challenge with a record of 9-7.
