The Batavia Bulldogs baseball team scored 10 runs and held the host Plainfield South Cougars to 8 in the Bulldogs non-league win on Monday.

The Bulldogs now own a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they host Naperville Central for a non-league test on Tuesday, March 25. Batavia will play a Redhawks team coming off a 9-5 non-league loss to Oswego (Oswego, IL). The Redhawks record now stands at 0-1.

With the defeat, Plainfield South drops to 0-1 on the year. The Cougars host Streator (Streator, IL) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league test on Tuesday, March 25. The Bulldogs go into the test with a record of 1-1. Streator won 10-3 in their recent non-league test against Sandwich (Sandwich, IL)
