The Metea Valley Mustangs (Aurora, IL) baseball trounced the host Elgin Maroons (Elgin, IL), 14-1 in Monday's non-league challenge.

The Mustangs now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Joliet Central for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 25. Metea Valley will clash with a Steelmen team coming off a 24-0 non-league loss to Providence Catholic (New Lenox, IL). The Steelmen record now stands at 2-1.

With the defeat, Elgin drops to 0-1 on the year. The Maroons travel to Zion-Benton (Zion, IL) to clash with the Zee-Bees in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 26. The Zee-Bees go into the challenge with a record of 2-1. Zion-Benton won 8-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Hoffman Estates (Hoffman Estates, IL)
