West Virginia High School Baseball - Lewis County loses to Preston

March 24, 2025: Kingwood, WV 26537

Preston Knights (Kingwood, WV) fans left the game pleased Monday as they observed their baseball squad achieve victory over the visiting Lewis County Minutemen (Weston, WV), 11-0 in a league match.

With the triumph, Preston advances its record to 2-0 on the season. The Knights travel to Buckhannon-Upshur (Buckhannon, WV) to battle the Buccaneers in a Big Ten match on Tuesday, March 25. The Buccaneers come into the match with a record of 0-1. Buckhannon-Upshur lost 6-3 in their recent league match against Philip Barbour (Philippi, WV)

The Minutemen now have a 0-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Robert C. Byrd for a Big Ten match on Tuesday, March 25. Lewis County will battle a Eagles squad coming off a 3-2 non-league loss to South Harrison (Lost Creek, WV). The Eagles record now stands at 1-1.
