The Mayfield Cardinals baseball team scored 13 runs and held the visiting Fulton County Pilots to 4 in the Cardinals non-league win on Monday.
The Cardinals now hold a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Hickman County for a non-league test on Thursday, March 27. Mayfield will play a Falcons team coming off a 5-3 non-league loss to St. Mary (Paducah, KY). The Falcons record now stands at 2-3.
With the defeat, Fulton County drops to 0-1 on the year. The Pilots host Hickman County (Clinton, KY) to play the Falcons in a non-league test on Monday, April 21. The Falcons go into the test with a record of 2-3.
