Monticello Mustangs (Charlottesville, VA) followers exited the stadium in high spirits Monday as they saw their lacrosse team gain a win over the visiting Hanover Hawks (Mechanicsville, VA), 9-6 in a non-league game.

With the victory, Monticello advances its record to 1-2 on the season. The Mustangs host Patrick Henry (Ashland, VA) to play the Patriots in a non-league game on Wednesday, March 26. The Patriots come into the game with a record of 1-2.

The Hawks now sport a 0-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Deep Run for a non-league game on Thursday, March 27. Hanover will play a Wildcats team coming off a 13-1 non-league loss to Collegiate (Richmond, VA). The Wildcats record now stands at 0-2.
