North Carolina High School Softball - Ashe County bounces Johnson County

March 24, 2025: West Jefferson, NC 28694

In Monday's non-league match, the host Ashe County Huskies softball team scored a nice 15-0 victory over the Johnson County Longhorns.

The Huskies (4-3) will now prepare for their match against Freedom (Morganton, NC). The Patriots go into the Northwestern 3A/4A match with a 5-7 record. In their last match, Freedom was routed by South Caldwell (Hudson, NC), 20-1, in a league match.

In their next game, the Longhorns battle the Cloudland Highlanders (Roan Mountain, TN) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, March 25. Johnson County will attempt to better on its 0-4 season record. The Highlanders go into the match with a 3-2 record after their 7-6 non-league loss to John Battle (Bristol, VA).
