The Aspermont Hornets triumphed over the host Westbrook Wildcats softball squad by a count of 27-16 in Monday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Hornets meet the Hamlin Pied Pipers (Hamlin, TX) in a challenge, on Saturday, March 29. Aspermont will attempt to upgrade on its 1-0 season record. The Pied Pipers enter the challenge with a 4-9 record after their 16-1 non-league loss to Hermleigh (Hermleigh, TX).
The Wildcats (3-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Marfa (Marfa, TX). The Shorthorns enter the 1A Region I District 5 challenge with a 0-1 record.
