In Monday's non-league test, the DeRidder Dragons (DeRidder, LA) softball squad the visiting Barbe Buccaneers (Lake Charles, LA), by a tally of 14-12.
Next, the Dragons clash with the Iowa Yellowjackets (Iowa, LA) in a 3A District 3 test, on Tuesday, March 25. DeRidder will attempt to advance on its 9-12 season record. The Yellowjackets go into the test with a 15-7 record after their 9-6 non-league loss to Live Oak (Watson, LA).
The Buccaneers (12-7) will now prepare for their test against Lafayette (Lafayette, LA). The Lions go into the 5A District 3 test with a 8-6 record. In their last test, Lafayette by Sulphur (Sulphur, LA), 10-0, in a league test.
