The crowd at Monday's non-league bout between the Bloomington Purple Raiders (Bloomington, IL) and the visiting Normal University Pioneers (Normal, IL), observed Bloomington's softball team get by Normal University by a tally of 1-0.

The Purple Raiders (2-1) will now prepare for their bout against Kankakee (Kankakee, IL). The Kays go into the non-league bout with a 2-3 record. In their last bout, Kankakee was nipped by Coal City (Coal City, IL), 22-3, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Pioneers clash with the Glenwood Titans (Chatham, IL) in a Central State Eight bout, on Tuesday, March 25. Normal University will attempt to advance on its 0-2 season record. The Titans go into the bout with a 2-0 record after their 10-8 non-league win over Belleville West (Belleville, IL).
