The Mercy Bears triumphed over the host Palo Alto Vikings softball squad by a count of 13-1 in Monday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Bears play the Notre Dame Regents (San Jose, CA) in a challenge, on Wednesday, March 26. Mercy will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record. The Regents enter the challenge with a 5-6 record after their 5-1 non-league loss to Hollister (Hollister, CA).
The Vikings (3-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Fremont (Sunnyvale, CA). The Firebirds enter the El Camino challenge with a 1-3 record. In their last challenge, Fremont was routed by Saratoga (Saratoga, CA), 10-0, in a league challenge.
