Illinois High School Baseball - DeKalb defeats Belvidere

March 24, 2026: Belvidere, IL 61008

Fans at Tuesday's non-league contest between the DeKalb Barbs (DeKalb, IL) and the host Belvidere Bucs (Belvidere, IL), observed DeKalb's baseball squad overcome Belvidere by a final score of 9-2.

With the triumph, DeKalb moves its record to 2-0 on the season. The Barbs travel to Harlem (Machesney Park, IL) to confront the Huskies in a non-league contest on Tuesday, March 31. The Huskies come into the contest with a record of 2-2.

The Bucs now possess a 0-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Prairie Ridge for a non-league battle on Wednesday, March 25. Belvidere will face a Wolves team coming off a 8-4 non-league win over Palatine (Palatine, IL). The Wolves record now stands at 1-1.
