The Alexandria City Titans lacrosse team scored 16 points and held the visiting Mount Vernon Majors to 4 in the Titans non-league win on Friday.
The Titans (4-0) will now prepare for their match against Robinson (Fairfax, VA). The Rams go into the Patriot match with a 1-2 record.
The Majors (0-2) will now prepare for their match against Lake Braddock (Burke, VA). The Bruins go into the non-league match with a 0-0 record.
Game Summary
The Lady Titans shook off a slow start to beat the Mt Vernon Majors 16-4. Playing their third game in four days, the Titans fell behind 2-0, before reeling of seven straight goals to take a 7-2 lead, and they never looked back from there. The Titans were paced by Senior Attacker Kate Holley (6 goals & 3 Assists), Senior Attacker Kenna Murphy (2 goals & 1 Assist) & Junior Midfielder Aly Roister (2 goals & 1 Assist).
